Lisa Kaplan is a Registered Nurse and Mental Wellness Coach working with people to navigate their life, their mind and the untrue stories thoughts tell. Whether it’s anxiety, depression, or emotional overwhelm, clarity and compassion and renewed hope is possible. Her work is grounded in theory and lived experience.
Growing up in a family where she was often told she was “too emotional,” Lisa learned early to quiet her inner world and carry everything alone. She has always felt that if she didn’t control every situation, things would fall apart. For years she was the strong one—educated, capable, endlessly supportive—until life brought her to her knees with a level of anxiety and fear that felt paralyzing. What she thought she understood about mental health no longer made sense inside her own struggle. That turning point led to a profound realization: beneath all the noise of thought, every person has an innate well-being that never disappears, even when it feels completely out of reach.
This insight changed her life—and became the foundation of her coaching.
Before becoming a coach, Lisa spent decades supporting people in their most vulnerable moments. She guided more than 800 births as a doula, worked as a nurse helping families with sick children, and coached real estate professionals seeking clarity, direction, and confidence. Across all of these roles, she saw the same truth: people thrive when they feel safe, have hope, are understood, and reconnected to their own inner resilience.
As a mother of a young struggling (now) adult son, Lisa understands firsthand the fears, hopes, and complexities that parents carry—and the emotional landscape young people are trying to navigate. She brings that lived empathy into every session.
Today, Lisa uses her unique blend of personal insight and professional experience to help people see beyond fear, diagnosis, and old stories to get back to thriving, enjoying life and each other. She guides people toward a deeper sense of ease and possibility—reminding them that nothing is wrong with them, and that the clarity they’re searching for is already within.
Lisa lives in Boulder, Colorado, where she finds peace in nature, community, her mini-golden doodle “Sosa” and the quiet moments that remind us of who we really are.
