Purpose. A word that I just gave meaning to about a year ago. Little did I know, I was born with it. My life LITERALLY has purpose. That's sounds harsh right? That's how the truth can be. When I was younger I just knew without a shadow of a doubt I was going to be a singer, because I looked up to Brandy, or I was going to be a figure skater because, I mean come on, Kristi Yamaguchi was the best ever! I had no idea that was just a fantasy...
Now that I'm an adult and have learned some life lessons, I realize, I have a purpose in this world. Purpose that I had to not only define first, but then walk in it, that's a whole other blog post. Now when I look at the word PURPOSE, the way my mind works, I break things down into sections. "Pur" being the prefix or the beginning and "Pose" as in position. So it's the beginning of a position of where I should be in my life. Make sense? So in order to find your purpose, you have to first, look inside you. What can you do? Not your talent. Tony Gaskins said it best " Your purpose is something that you do naturally" So for me, what I do naturally is I am a listener and I like to help people. It's only right that my profession is a nurse right? But when I say help people I mean help them transform their lives into something that they never knew they were capable of. Finding themselves. So in order for me to do that, I had to first find myself, and find my purpose.
So after years of searching, losing myself and looking again. I finally found my purpose. Health, Wellness and empowerment. Sounds like a lot to handle, which it is. But when you think about it, each goes hand in hand. If you get all aspects of yourself in line with each other (spiritual, emotional, physical and mental) you will not only lead a more positive life but you will in turn be able to pour into others, just as I have into you.
How did I get there you ask? I prayed about it. Sounds simple right? But that's what I did. I prayed and meditated and that is what resonated with me. So as soon as I found it, I ran with it and doors have been opening ever since. It's so funny because my best friend and I were sitting in a training class and that's when it hit me. BAM! So the trainer thinks I'm taking notes about their presentation and I'm conjuring up ways to change the world! Ask and you shall receive. It's more than just something that's quoted, it's fact! AND I was specific. I got the exact answer I needed. I will forever be grateful for that!
Thank you so much for spending this time with me. You too can find your purpose if you simply open your heart and be specific with your request.
May Peace. Find You. Always.
